My Administrative Professional Journey
I am Mia M. Lane. A strategic senior executive assistant, speaker, mentor, and unapologetic advocate for the administrative profession. I have spent 34 years in this profession, not just doing the work but championing the people who do it.
I have supported C-suite executives, led high-performing executive assistant teams, and earned the CAP (Expert), Chief of Staff (CoS), and PACE certifications. I have served on committees and boards and shared insights from stages across the profession. I have also helped professionals recognize their value, find their voice, and step into leadership with confidence.
But none of that is what drives me.
I'm driven by the moment someone finally believes they are somebody.
The Beginning
I did not start out believing my voice mattered.
I started out doing the work. Showing up. Delivering. Keeping everything together while making sure no one else had to think twice about whether it would get done.
Sound familiar?
Somewhere along the way, I had an experience that stopped me in my tracks. I went to my father for guidance. What he said in that conversation changed everything. He reminded me that every person holds worth and value regardless of their title, salary, or whether anyone knows their name.
My father has since passed away. But I never lost what he gave me that day.
His words became my mission.
His belief became my movement.
And You Are Somebody was born.
What I Believe
Belonging: Belonging starts with one person deciding you matter. I have already decided. You have always belonged here. Belonging is a decision you make about yourself, first. Now it is your turn to believe it.
Celebration: Stop keeping your wins to yourself. Your story is too important to stay silent. Share it with confidence. Share it without apology. Share it, knowing that every word matters to someone who needs to hear it. Celebration is not selfish. It is your responsibility to be the example someone else is waiting for you to be.
Empowerment
You belong here. Your voice matters here. No matter where you are in your journey, you have every right to walk confidently into every room, advocate for yourself, and share your worth without apology. That is what I believe. That is what I built. That is what we do together.

Growth
The most powerful moment in any growth journey is not when someone else finally notices you. It is when you notice yourself. When something shifts and you think. I am not who I was. That is the moment that changes everything. And it is exactly why I do this work.
Celebration
Stop keeping your wins to yourself. Your story is too important to stay silent. Share it with confidence. Share it without apology. Share it, knowing that every word matters to someone who needs to hear it. Celebration is not selfish. It is your responsibility to be the example someone else is waiting for you to set.
